Technology 2012

We had to move to Windows XP to be able to use the latest iCatcher. iCatcher has served us very well since the start of this project and we offer our thanks to the iCode team for their support. In an attempt to cut the running costs the old PC was retired and a new server built around a Gigabyte D525T-UD Mini-ITX Motherboard. It has the advantage of low consumption and a couple of hot-swapable SATA ports. 4 of the cameras are fed to a Euresys Picolo Pro capture card. The IP cameras are fed via the network. Pictures are uploaded to the web site when there has been movement. The upload rate depends on the activity and time of day. In addition, the IP cameras are sometimes used to upload pictures on a timed basis.
