Yesterday a female greater spotted woodpecker visited box 1. The box has aluminium reinforcement under the outer wood so the blue tits should be safe whilst inside.

The first egg was laid in box 1 today. A great tit visited box 3 and immediately started to bring in nesting material and did some nesting wiggles. It is roosting there tonight.
