This box is west facing, on a wall about 1m above ground. There has been a box here for more than 15 years. In most years blue tits have been sucessful here. Originally put in this position to persuade a blue tit not to roost in an air conditioning duct.
Following the fledging of the birds from our primary nest box, we monitored the progress of this family. There were 3 chicks which fledged on the 1st and 2nd of June 2006. Initially we thought that there were 5 unhatched eggs but there were only 2 left after the chicks fledged.If you can not see the index on the left, please click here
